NEW FOR 2026: The $0 Tax Stamp is Here!
As of January 1, 2026, the federal government has officially eliminated the $200 tax stamp fee for suppressors. Under the newly enacted “One Big Beautiful Bill” (H.R. 1), law-abiding citizens can now enjoy the benefits of suppressed shooting without the extra federal tax burden.

-
Faster Processing: ATF eForms are currently seeing historic approval times, with some individual filings being approved in under 48 hours.
-
Same Secure Process: While the tax is gone, the safety checks remain. You still need to complete the ATF Form 4, provide fingerprints/photos, and pass a background check. All handled in house make your appointment today for fingerprinting.

Fast e-Form 4 and Eform 1 SBR
Building your own Short-Barreled Rifle (SBR) has never been more accessible. Under the One Big Beautiful Bill (H.R. 1), the federal tax for an ATF Form 1 application officially dropped to $0 on January 1, 2026. This means you can now convert your existing pistol or rifle into a legal SBR without paying the traditional $200 excise tax.
While the financial barrier is gone, the legal requirements remain exactly the same. You must still submit a Form 1, provide digital fingerprints, and include a passport-style photo for ATF registration.
At Eazor Precision, we make this process seamless by handling everything in-house for you:
-
Digital Fingerprinting: No need to hunt down a local police station; we capture your prints electronically in our shop.
-
Passport Photos: We take your digital photo on-site to ensure it meets strict ATF requirements.
-
Expert eForm Filing: We assist you with the entire electronic submission, helping to avoid common errors that cause delays.
With 150,000 NFA applications filed on the first day of the new rule, demand is surging. Let us help you skip the confusion and get your SBR project approved as quickly as possible.

Silencer & NFA Firearms FAQ (Pennsylvania)
This FAQ is designed for customers in Pennsylvania and reflects current ATF eForms procedures and the $0 tax stamp update. All services are performed in-house by Eazor Precision LLC (FFL 07 / SOT 02).
Silencers / Suppressors – General Questions
Are silencers legal in Pennsylvania?
Yes. Suppressors are legal to own and use in Pennsylvania provided the buyer passes the required background checks and receives ATF approval. Pennsylvania allows suppressor ownership for hunting, recreational shooting, and general lawful use.
What does a suppressor actually do?
A suppressor reduces firearm noise, muzzle blast, and felt recoil. It does not make a firearm silent. Sound reduction depends on caliber, ammunition, barrel length, and suppressor design.
Are suppressors considered firearms?
Under federal law, suppressors are regulated as firearms under the National Firearms Act (NFA), even though they attach to another firearm.
ATF $0 Tax Stamp – 2026 Update
What does the $0 tax stamp mean?
As of January 1, 2026, qualifying ATF Form 4 and Form 1 submissions no longer require the $200 federal tax payment. The approval process remains the same; only the tax has been eliminated.
Does $0 tax mean instant approval?
No. ATF background checks, fingerprints, photographs, and approval are still required. Processing times vary based on ATF workload.
Does the $0 tax apply to individuals and trusts?
Yes. Both individual and NFA trust submissions qualify under current ATF rules.
